Since 2007, DVA Productions has been wowing audiences with its gripping dramas and foot-stomping original musicals. Audiences and critics have continually given DVA their stamp of approval.
This show features 20 year plus veterans of the stage Sheran Goodspeed Keyton and Robert Rouse. After spending 15 years together on stage headlining most of the shows at Fort Worth’s Jubilee Theatre, they went in different directions. Now, after five years they reconnect in this hilarious new original musical comedy of errs. Sheran Goodspeed Keyton and Robert Rouse have a dynamic chemistry that is immeasurable, and having them together again is monumental.
So, join DVA Productions for Venus & Mars. When the hottest male and female artists of the Motown Era attempt their big “comeback”, the outcome is potentially funny. Coupled with a young, well-intentioned manager, new singers and band members, two over-inflated egos, and one big tour bus; the outcome is downright hilarious. Original music from Joe Rogers brings this musical comedy to life in a way that only he can! From jazz and blues to Motown and hip hop, this show will keep you dancing!
DVA Productions, Inc. presents the DVA Young Artist Mentor Program. These students, ages 10-21, hail from communities throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. These students study (with Artistic Director and Professional Performing Artist Sheran Goodspeed) various disciplines of music, dance, acting and writing. They also learn life skills and service to their community through the Educational, Literacy and Homeless Outreach Programs. DVA Productions is a small nonprofit arts organization that prides itself on providing these services to the students who haven't the resources nor the knowledge of how to pursue careers in professional performance. It also provides excellent and much-needed leadership training. The youth performers bring a socially-conscious, yet fun and energetic message to every audience they touch!!
DVA Productions, Inc. was founded in 2008 by DFW artist Sheran Goodspeed Keyton. Our mission is to help develop and increase the awareness of the performing and cultural arts in the Fort Worth community.
There are many factors of life with which members of the community must deal. Though they vary in degrees amongst different cultures, backgrounds and social classes; these factors and the need for open and creative dialog are common to each of the groups.
The programs address issues of interracial struggles and acceptance, inter-generational relationships, growth and progress in African American communities, strengthening communication between adults and youth, acceptance of people's differences, and many more. They also celebrate the joys and triumphs of the members of the community, and tell those stories through song and dance.
We must continue to progress! To do that, DVA Productions, Inc. needs your financial support! As a nonprofit organization donations are vital to our success. Your donation (of any amount) will directly impact the lives of students by giving DVA the resources needed to continue carrying out our mission and reaching our goal. Your donation is tax-deductible, and will be followed by a donation letter for your tax records. Your generosity and support is sincerely appreciated. Thank you for allowing DVA Productions, Inc. to continue to provide quality entertainment with a purpose.
